Styled With LAVIE HandBags Summer 2013 Collection

When you belong to the fashion world, one of the most exciting as well as exasperating things is the arrival of a new collection. You can't wait to see and try it all out. After parading around in some of the finest pieces, you have to heartbreakingly pick just one. The choice becomes even more difficult when the object of desire is a bag.
Anyone who knows me, knows, I have a things for bag. The bigger the better! Not that I don't love my clutches and minaudiere, I just have a weakness for bigger bags.

A few days back I had a chance to go through Lavie's Spring-Summer 2013 collection. As much as I wish to add a few of those piece to my bag collection; unlike Kareena Kapoor in the ad, I just cannot buy them all!
I strongly believe, when you can't buy it all you do the second best thing- create a look.

I have created three uniquely different look featuring bags from Lavie's Spring-Summer 2013 collection.

[Bag: LAVIRennes Med Satchel Teal Rs.2890/- Dress: MSGM, Sandals: Zara, Bangles: By Malene Birger, Earrings: Isharya]
The blue Lavie satchel and neon sandals and accessories perfectly complements this colourful tribal print dress.

[Bag: LAVIE Ventura 3C Med Tote Rs.3170/- Blouse:, Skirt: Dsquared2, Shoes: Zara]
I am obsessed with the neon and monochrome combo, add stripes to that list and you have the hottest 3 trends of Spring-Summer2013 in one look. The black Lavie tote fits in perfectly well with this eye catching look.
[Bag: LAVIE Mango Med Box Bag Orange Rs.2880/- Jeans: ONLY, Top: Tory Burch , Blazer: Topshop, Shoes: Zara, Earrings: David Aubrey]
Pair the bright as a sun Lavie box bag with cool star print jeans and yellow top to create a classic A.M to P.M look.

Like me if you too have a things for big bags then you must check out Lavie's Spring-Summer 2013 collection.

Femina MADE BY YOU {& Me!}

The quote, 'be careful what you wish for because it might come true', has never before worked for me. I have been wanting and wishing for Ryan Gosling and non weight gaining red velvet cupcakes, like forever.
While some dreams may never ever come true a few might just do!

When I submitted my article for 'Made By You', Femina's first ever crowdsourced issue, the hope was to get published in one of India's most read and loved magazine. Never in a million years did I think that I would get a chance to be featured on the cover. THE COVER!!!
I was one of the five writers chosen to contribute for the 'Fashion Documentary' segment. We each had to write about the stylish part of our city.
Without a shadow of doubt I knew that my muse for this piece would be none other than Colaba.
For starters, Colaba is one of the few parts of the city that has not been engulfed by the growing mall culture.
One of the reasons why this has not happened is because Colaba on its own is like a big market open to all. Whether you are looking for pocket friendly street shopping or high-end luxury good, Colaba has something for everyone.
A landmark location that has managed to incorporate the new with the old, blend east with the west and most importantly welcomed people from all walks of life, social strata and from around the world to come and enjoy a slice of Mumbai life.

Whether your spending allowance is Rs. 200/- or Rs 2 Lakh, be it cheap, chic or couture, Colaba is one place that has it all.The mixing of luxury, high street and street style fashion is one of the major reasons why among all the 7 islands of Mumbai, Colaba is hands-down the most stylish of them all.

Other than the cover and article, I had a chance to write the Editor's Letter for the Fashion section.

This is where it all began. At the Femina Made by You editorial meet.
It has been one of my life-long dreams to write for a fashion magazine. In fact, my passion for fashion writing is one of the main reasons why I started a fashion blog.
I will forever be grateful to Femina for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

While most of you have already ready the article, I just wanted to share this with you all.

What did you think of Femina's first ever crowdsourced issue, Made By You? Did you like the concept? And what did you think of my article? Share your views with me in the comment section.

New Fashion & Lifestyle Shopping Website On The Block: LimeRoad

Recently I attended a fashion seminar where the head of one of India’s biggest retail company stated that online shopping and e-commerce is the future of retail industry. And right he is!
In many ways online shopping and e-commerce websites have made shopping accessible and very easy. Gone the days where you could not get a certain product or brand due to lack of availability in your city/country. Now with just a few clicks, products of all kinds and from all over the country/world are directly delivered at your door steps.
The reality is, with so many shopping and e-commerce websites cropping up everyday, only the ones with great products, service and overall experience will be able to last in this competitive market.
In my constant search for discovering new online shopping haven, an up and coming fashion and lifestyle website name LimeRoad caught my attention. From its catchy name to its well-curated range of products and interactive features, LimeRoad in many ways is redefining the online shopping experience in India.

What I Love About LimeRoad
Your Road To Trendy Fashion and Lifestyle Discovery: Pretty much ever other day an online shopping site comes along. While some may last, most of them eventually fizzle out. The reason why LimeRoad stood out among its competitors is because I found it to be an extremely well curated website. The variety of products available on LimeRoad gives it an edge over other websites.
Most of their products are exclusive pieces and not something that you will easily see on 10 different sites too. LimeRoad products are carefully chosen keeping the current trends as well as the needs of its clients in mind. Overall LimeRoad offers a fine balance of popular as well as undiscovered up-coming brands to choose from.
To give you a better idea about LimeRoad products, here is a list of some of my favourite 2013 summer fashion finds from LimeRoad.

Shopping Guide: The ‘Magazine’ feature of LimeRoad is its very own shopping guide that helps you discover stylish products from different brands and locations. Not only is it well-planned and helpful but the ‘Magazine’ feature makes LimeRoad standout among other website. Depending on what you are looking for it helps you narrow your search down to specifics. Whether you want to shop things based on a specific theme or colour story or do you wish to shop a particular brand or are you looking for products available in a particular city, it guides you in the right direction. This is a very helpful tool if someone is looking for a precise product/brand/location. It saves time and helps you find exactly what you are looking for.

Collage-ing Your Style: Anyone who knows me knows I am a fashion collage junkie. The real reason why I fell in love with LimeRoad is because of its innovative, forward-thinking collage making concept called ‘Scrapbook’. Scrapbook allows you to create  fashion collages with your favorite products. The beauty of collage-making aka ‘Scrapbooking’ is, it makes the experience a whole lot more fun and interactive. This way you get to shop and show-off your creativity and styling skills. Hands-down one of the smartest moves made by any Indian e-commerce/online shopping website.

{I have made a similar collage to the above one in my LimeRoad Scrapbook. For aesthetic representation both the collages have been made in Polyvore using exclusive LimeRoad products only.}

Like me if you love creating fashion collages, have a passion for style and enjoy curating looks, here's your chance to be a part of LimeRoad Style Council and participate in LimeRoad’s styling challenge.
All you need to do is:
1) Sign up as a LimeRoad Scrapbooker
2) Create 1 scrapbook look a day for a month and share it around to create your own fan following.
3) For this fun and easy styling challenge, at the end of the month you get to shop on LimeRoad for Rs.2500!
Write to for further details.

If you are looking for a fun way to shop and well and flaunt your style, LimeRoad is the perfect destination for you.

Get Funky WIth Adidas Originals Jeremy Scott Spring-Summer 2013 Collection

Way before Lady GaGa and Nicki Minaj made our heads spin with their radical fashion choices, there was Jeremy Scott; the master of shock and awe who made a sweet living out creating eye-popping, outlandish, quirky fashion.
Not one to shy away from bright colours and edgy cuts, Scott’s love for the eccentric and flare for drama is evident in his Spring-Summer 2013 Adidas Originals collection.
Recently launched in India, I had the pleasure to attend the launch in Bombay. Honestly, this collection is not for the weak of heart or faint of style. Designed only for those who have the courage, confidence {plus deep pockets} and desire to be different, the collection is perfect for those who like to experiment with new looks and try out statement making styles.

JS Eagle Pole Hoodie Rs. 8999/- JS Wedge Hi Rs. 12,999/-

The influence of past and present pop culture is strongly evident in the Spring-Summer 2013 Adidas Originals Jeremy Scott collection. From eagles, to billiard balls to cute stuffed animals, all have served as a source of inspiration for this collection.
An all over eagle print theme carries throughout the collection including Jeremy’s signature winged high top shoes. Other stand out features includes the chain cage track top with cutout body, colourful wedge hi shoes and sneakers adorned with sunglass wearing poodles.
JS Chain Cage TT Rs. 12,999/- JS Poodle Shoes Rs. 9999/-

Ranging between Rs. 8,999/- to Rs. 12,999/-, the Spring-Summer 2013 Adidas Originals Jeremy Scott collection is available at Adidas Originals outlets across the country.

Creating a collection of unisex apparel and footwear filled with unique prints and dramatic shapes that is high energy, surreal and fun, this collection is perfect for those who like to experiment with the wild and funky side of fashion.

Depending on your style and preference you may fall in love  with it or absolutely dislike the entire collection. While I may not have the courage to wear it, I totally love it for its amazing creativity and art work.
When it comes to matters of shock, awe and immense creativity, Jeremy Scott is truly an inspiration and an ‘Original’.

What do you think of Adidas Originals Jeremy Scott Spring-Summer2013 collection? Would you wear it? Share your thoughts and views with me in the comment sections.
