Style It Thrice: Blue Coloured Jeans

The world of fashion has been rocking the coloured jeans trend for a while now; I finally mustered the courage to buy a pair just a few months ago. It took me some two and a half months more to finally wear them and step out of the house.
I have to say, the day I wore my pair of coloured jeans for the first time, not only were all my preconceived notions about it broken but I finally realised why everyone is so in love with them.

Now that I have discovered the joy of wearing of coloured jeans, I decided to share it with you and feature in on this week’s ‘Style It Thrice’ segment.

A vast array of colours and styles to choose from, I chose to feature a pair of cobalt blue Vero Moda jeans {Rs. 1,995} from
For starters, the colour is the similar to classic blue jeans and ideal for those who want to try out coloured jeans for the first time.
Plus, the deep hue of the jeans complement almost most body types as well as all Indian skin tones.
Thanks to the richness of the shade, this pair of coloured jeans can be styled and worn for a number of occasions at any time of the day.

Keeping the latest trends as well classic styles in mind, here are few of my cobalt blue coloured jeans styling options.

Casual: Stripes has been a fashion classic for years, but this season it is considered to be an 'It' trend. Working with the cool colour palette,  pair these cobalt blue coloured jeans with a light blue stripe tee and teal hand bag. Add a pair of brown wedges and you are ready for weekend brunch or shopping/movie date for the besties.
To make this a more work friendly look, add a black/navy/brown blazer and swap the wedges with pumps.
FRENCH CONNECTION Tee {Rs. 1,699}, STEVE MADDEN Bag {Rs. 5,499}, RAW HIDE Sandals {Rs. 1,650}, L'OREAL Lipstick {Rs. 785}

The eaisiest way to make coloured jeans work friendly is by pairing them up with a classic black {or white} shirt.
To add pop of colour to this look, accessorise with bright colour bag, shoes and jewellery. Depending on your job profile you can select the accessorise appropriate for your designation.
For those not comfortable with a shirt, opt for a black {or white} mid-thigh length tunic or kurti and accessorises as per your liking.
 UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON Shirt {Rs. 1,599}, ACCESSORIZE Tote {Rs. 4,595}, STEVE MADDEN Ballet Flats {Rs. 2,999},
TONIQ Necklace {Rs. 329}, FOSSIL Watch {Rs. 9,995}

Party: Mixing and matching contrasting colours together is one of the quickest ways to make a style statement.
For a fun, night-out, party look go all out and pair the blue coloured jeans with a complementary light orange {coral, actually} lace top, brown studded clutch and gold shoes.
Accessorising with simple necklace and bangles, the end result is glamorous without being over the top.
 FRENCH CONNECTION Top {Rs. 4,499}, STEVE MADDEN Clutch {Rs. 5,999}, ADRIKA Necklace {Rs. 295}, STEVE MADDEN Shoes {Rs. 3,999}, FLAUNT Bangles {Rs. 299}, MAYBELLINE Lip Gloss {Rs. 350}

If you are looking for some trend and and price-friendly coloured jeans, has a lovely selection to choose from.
