Colours Of Pride: In Celebration Of India's Independence Day.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action--
Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake.
Gitanjali, Rabindranath Tagore

On 15th August,1947 a free and new country was born. India a.k.a 'Azad Bharat
turns 65 today. And amidst all the celebration, the songs of praise, progress and achievement will be sung by its believers the cynics will not be far behind to
criticise its flaws and shortcomings. My country has tons of each-achievements as well as flaws. But which country does not.

While I too can get into the debate as to how much India has grown and how much more we need to achieve, I opt to not do it today. For today is all about celebrating India in all her glory.
[The National Flag of India]
In celebration of Independence Day, I have chosen to fuse my love for India with my love for fashion by stylishly creating a TriColour ensemble. For those who don't know, the India national flag 'Tiranga' is a horizontal rectangular tricolour flag, of India saffron {Kesari}, white; with the Ashok Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel, in navy blue at its centre and India green.

Keeping this color scheme in mind, here are few styling options.
Happy Birthday my beloved India. May you continue to grown and shine.

Till then, tra-la,
