The other day I was researching 'wardrobe must-have' list. And list after list had their own opinion as to what and what not should be a part of a woman's wardrobe. The one thing; besides jeans and LBD, that was common in 98% of the lists was, a simple button front blouse {full or half sleeves depending on the weather}.
You must be wondering what is the real purpose of a plain old simple blouse? While jeans are all age friendly and LBD can be dressed up and down, how is an almost 'matronly' kind of blouse a fashion must-have? Well, in fashion; just like in real life, looks can be super deceptive. What may look bland to the unstylish eye can actually be a gem of a find for a fashion savant.

For this week's 'Style It Thrice' segment I have chosen a J.Crew orange {neon-papaya} full sleeves button front blouse. The sheer simplicity is one of the reasons why I chose it. What may seem to most as a plan and simple blouse, can easily be transformed into a stylish and trendy ensemble. Due to its simplicity the blouse can be styled and worn for a number of occasion-day and night.
Here are few of my styling suggestion that will hopefully make you see this simple yet versatile blouse in a new light.
Look 1: This blouse would be perfect for office wear. But, instead of pairing it with regular trousers opt for an on-trend high low skirt {Make sure the skirt's front length is work place appropriate}.Add on a bright colour necklace and chic patterned bag and you are set for a stylish business meeting.

Look 2: Full sleeve button front blouse is not something one would consider as casual wear. Right? But, if you pair the same blouse with bright coloured jeans, funky bag and statement necklace you have pretty much created for yourself a fun look that would be perfect for weekend shopping or brunch with the girls.
[MANGO Jeans, EMILIO PUCCI Flat Sandals, MARY KATRANTZOU Bag, DANNIJO Necklace, BURBERRY Blush]
Look 3: Party wear is all about the sexy. And this blouse is as sexy as sexy can be. All you need to do is role up the sleeves, throw on some bling-bling bracelets and pair the blouse with a all-eyes-on-me skirt and killer stilettos and you are ready to brun the dance floor.
